Getting to Wow: Impressing the Interviewer with your stories

March 14, 2020
10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Whether you’re networking, interviewing or promoting your brand in your current role, it is important to effectively showcase your talents and leave a powerful impression regarding what you have to offer. You want to focus your listeners on what you do and how you do it. The easiest way to do that is to tell them a memorable story.

Learn how to pick and deliver stories that convey the message of your value in a compelling way. This is an interactive workshop during which you will identify and share accomplishment stories and get feedback on how to make them stronger.  We will focus on stories as used in answering the interviewer’s questions.  You will emerge from this with an in-depth understanding of how to develop an effective story and 1-3 stories you can use in interviews.  The workshop will be interactive, and you will have the opportunity to share your stories with others, review them with Win and James Park, another career coach, and to learn from other participants as well.

Topics covered include:
* Identify good stories to tell: What Hollywood can teach us about telling our story
* Isolate the messages you want to deliver
* Learn to deliver your story to answer the interviewer’s questions
